What should you pay attention to when buying steel core flexible plastic pipes?

With multifunctional uses such as water pumping and draining, fuel and chemical transfer, food transport, and vacuum suction, steel-reinforced flexible plastic hoses are being widely used by factories, manufacturing plants, and companies. Compared to other industrial hoses with similar functions, these hoses are more affordable, relatively durable over time, and offer many advantages.

So, what should you consider when purchasing steel-reinforced flexible plastic hoses?

Origin of the hoses

Currently, the market offers a wide variety of steel-reinforced flexible plastic hoses from different companies, featuring diverse designs and brands. However, they can generally be categorized into two main types: imported steel-reinforced flexible plastic hoses and Vietnamese steel-reinforced flexible plastic hoses.

Imported products are directly sourced by companies from countries such as China, South Korea, and Taiwan. Manufacturers will print their logos and brand names on the hoses. As a result, while the brands may vary, imported steel-reinforced flexible plastic hoses often share the same origin.

On the other hand, there are also Vietnamese-made products. These products are of slightly higher quality compared to imports and are priced higher accordingly. (Vietnamese-made hoses come in a wider range of thicknesses and diameters, with less noticeable plastic odors.)

Wall thickness of the hoses

Steel-reinforced flexible plastic hoses come in a variety of diameters, ranging from 13mm to 250mm. Each diameter size has corresponding wall thicknesses, ranging from 3mm for smaller diameters to 10mm for larger ones.

For diameters ranging from 13mm to 100mm, common wall thicknesses are: 3mm, 3.5mm, 4mm, 5mm, etc.

For diameters of 100mm and above, the walls are made thicker, ranging from 4mm, 5mm, 6mm, 8mm, to 10mm.

Supplier

As mentioned earlier, for imported steel-reinforced flexible plastic hoses, many companies import them directly and print their brand names on the hoses. However, the main difference lies in which companies choose reputable and reliable manufacturers that ensure product quality, provide complete CO and CQ certifications, and clear, transparent invoices. Additionally, factors such as product warranty policies and flexible mechanisms also play a crucial role.
